✨ How Tukitoria Came to Life
My legal name is Veronica, but from an early age it felt too long and difficult to say. I created a shorter name for myself — Tuki. Over time, friends and family naturally transformed it into Tukitoria, a name that stayed with me and became part of who I am.
From Cycling to Making
My love for bicycles began almost as soon as I could ride. My very first bicycle — a small Peugeot — had a sidecar with a tiny black leather seat. I would place my dolls and teddy bears inside and take them on long imaginary expeditions. That simple joy shaped my world.
Bicycles were never just transportation for me — they were freedom, creativity, and storytelling.
Later in life, after moving to Montreal in 1994, I rediscovered cycling in a deeper way. I explored Quebec by bicycle and met inspiring people along the way. That journey revealed something missing: beautiful, functional, bicycle-inspired accessories and gifts that reflected personality and artistry.
Tukitoria Today
So I began making them myself — sewing, knitting, and designing by hand. Friends and strangers alike noticed and encouraged me. One unforgettable gift from my husband sealed the path: my first sewing machine.
That moment marked the true beginning of Tukitoria Design.
Today, Tukitoria lives at the crossroads of:
